The laptop manufacturer, Acer is all set to release updates for its AMD lineup including gaming laptops Acer Nitro 5 and Acer Swift 3. Both the gaming laptops will be updated with the AMD Ryzen Mobile processors, according to reports. Earlier, we had our hands on both Nitro 5 and Swift 3 gaming laptops, and previously they were equipped with Ryzen 2500U and 2700U processors respectively.
Talking about the Acer Nitro 5, the updated version of the laptop will be equipped with a 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen 7 3750H which will be capable of providing four cores, eight threads, and a 2.3 GHz base clock with a boost of 4 GHz. With a default TDP of 35 Watts and a cTDP between 12 and 35 Watts, the laptop is a beast. Earlier, the Nitro 5 was equipped with Ryzen 5 2500U, and in the cTDP up mode, it provided 25 Watts of sustained power draw, so this time with Ryzen 7 3750H it will be pretty much higher.
GPU in the Acer Nitro 5 will still be the AMD Radeon RX560X, which has a performance similar to that of the GTX 1050 laptop. But while playing heavy games the performance of the laptop dropped a bit. This time the laptop will be equipped with a new Ryzen 7 3750H so the performance will be pretty much improved.
Talking about the Acer Swift 3 it will have the same 14-inch screen size, and the CPU will be updated to the Ryzen 7 3700U, which is the most premium available in the market. The gaming laptop will have a processor with a four-core, eight-thread design, and a 2.3 GHz base clock with a 4.0 GHz boost clock. Acer has also updated the GPU in the Acer Swift 3, and the gaming laptop will be equipped with Radeon RX 540X.
